RTEMS BenchKit

Students:
Status: Rhealstone already ported, additional possibilities listed
Introduction: Performance of embedded and real-time systems is important to consider when developing new features for RTEMS. This project would introduce a suite of benchmark applications that could be used to test RTEMS performance on different platforms.
Candidate benchmarks:
We will need to investigate what are viable and license-compliant solutions. Licensing issues may be less important for the BenchKit? since it can be designed as a stand-alone product that would not be integrated with user applications.
Goal: Create a package containing suitable benchmarks that run under RTEMS.
Requirements: This project is mainly about integrating another project with RTEMS. Familiarity with RTEMS build system, cross-compilation, and the ability to create good documentation are all must-haves.
