The RTEMS Project officially supports only the CVS head and a current release branch. If you are interested in support for an older release, please contact JoelSherrill for more information.

Snapshots

The RTEMS Project recommends that you use use CVS to access our current development sources. Every attempt is made to keep the CVS head compilable and working on all targets but there are no guarantees. The CVS head is used to test bleeding edge tools and is always moving in features and stability.

Snapshot releases are occassionally cut from the head of the CVS tree. When cut, they will be announced to all mailing lists and placed on the RTEMS ftp site.

Information on 4.8 Series

The 4.8 release series has not branched yet. The CVS head is tracking what will become the 4.8 release series and its tool names include the 4.8 version numbering to indicate this.

The last release from this branch was 4.5.1-pre3 and made 17 October 2001 although as of May 2007 it is known to still in use by a number of users.
