= 4.12 Releases Notes

The 4.12 dot point release details are:

Welcome to the RTEMS 4.12 serial of releases. We expect this release series to be the last in the `4` series after which we move to the `5` series where we refactor the source tree and move to a waf build system.

== Status ==

The RTEMS 4.12 series is still under development and the current GIT repo master.

The focus of the series is to complete and have SMP mature on selected tier 1 architectures. Combined with the kernel work is the new `libbsd` networking stack with a current FreeBSD release.
