Rock on RTEMS

Status: See: Initial Rock port

Introduction: Rock is a robotics framework that can run on top of RTEMS. This project will improve the existing port by making the RTEMS Source Builder to be able to build the port.From the rock side Autoproj would be able to build the port.Further useful Rock librarie and tutorials would be added to RTEMS.

Goal: Midterm Evaluation – By this time the deliverable would be an easy to use Autoproj version of Rock building on RTEMS with appropriate tutorials to guide the user.

Final Evaluation – By this time the deliverable would be an easy to use version of Rock building on RTEMS using RSB along with ready to use packages.

Final Results Announced – The final days would be used to clean the code and add a detailed documentation of the entire project.

Post GSOC – I would like to maintain this project updating the scripts whenever required and adding more packages to the build systems. I would like to extend this project to implement Internet of things.

Requirements: Programming Languages:C,C++,Ruby,Areas of RTEMS used:RTEMS Source Builder,CORBA Port on RTEMS, Other Relevant skills:Cross-development, GNU/Linux Development,Knowledge of Build Systems(Waf,cmake,GNU Autotools)
