Description

The RTEMS mailing list archive has no option to get the raw e-mail via the web interface, e.g.

https://lists.rtems.org/pipermail/devel/2017-June/018101.html

For example the Newlib mailing list archive:

https://sourceware.org/cgi-bin/get-raw-msg?listname=newlib&date=2017&msgid=20170612064218.11969-1-sebastian.huber%40embedded-brains.de

That's strange I will look into this shortly.

I don't know how easy this is going to be. I've always grabbed the entire raw mbox file and pulled it out that way. You can find them on the list archive pages in gzipped form.

I'll look into setting this up but I need to figure out the best and safest way to do it.

This isn't something we can support. It's a custom feature that I cannot find the source to.

If you can get a copy of 'get-raw-msg' from Sourceware I can look into installing it..

What software package is get-raw-msg associated with? Is it part of Sourceware itself or something hosted on sourceware?

I think it's something they created custom. I can't find any information on it at all. A few other projects seem to use it but they're hosted by sourceware..

This would be a mailman plugin?

comment:7 Changed on 10/20/18 at 22:44:28 by Amar Takhar

It's probably a custom CGI they created.

The real fix for this is to move to Mailman v3. Here is an example setup:

https://mail.python.org/mm3/

The new frontend HyperKitty has a lot of functionality and also static email URLs. Which unlike v2 don't randomly change.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
