Description

I tried to build a toolchain using an older version of the RTEMS Source Builder (to be exact: cac72a2aea7 from 2016-08-01). This failed due to the fact that the gcc snapshot that should be build isn't longer available:

ftp://gcc.gnu.org/pub/gcc/snapshots/6-20160609/gcc-6-20160609.tar.bz2

It seems that there are about 6 months of snapshots available but older ones have been deleted. That can be really annoying if you try to rebuild the tools for a specific RTEMS version.

It might would be a good idea if we would copy all sources that are used in RSB to an RTEMS ftp server and download them from there. This is also true for release versions of the sources. We have no control over the files on a foreign server. Therefore the sources could vanish at any time.

One option would be to add all files to the RTEMS server and download them from here. Another option would be to add them to the RTEMS tools repository (this enables Github as a backup source).

The ftp server is the best available solution. Please avoid github, they have changed APIs over the years which is fair enough however this breaks the config as well.
