Description
The git:// protocol used in RTEMS git repositories is blocked by most corporate firewalls. As a result, institutional RTEMS users need to resort to access RTEMS repositories through github or to hack a way around to access git://.
A prefered solution would be to have http(s): paths for cloning RTEMS repositories in git.rtems.org. This would greatly simplify RTEMS users' lives.
